Introduction #

Ecwid empowers small businesses to create modern ecommerce stores. Ecwid is especially powerful for businesses that sell on multiple platforms, including Wix, WooCommerce, Facebook Marketplace, Amazon, and more.

Ecwid has partnered with Payex, creating a plugin that allows for secure payments on your Ecwid stores. With a few clicks, you can quickly start accepting payments with various payment channels.

Before you start #

Before integrating Payex with Ecwid, please ensure that all the requirements below are completed:

• Have an Ecwid account
• Have a Payex account. Login to Payex to get your Secret in Sandbox and Production environment

Installation #

Follow these easy steps to start accepting payments on your Ecwid store using Payex

How to install #

1. Login to your Ecwid account.
2. At your Ecwid dashboard, scroll down to “Payment“.
3. Find “More options to accept online payments“.
4. Click on “Choose Payment Method“.
5. Choose “Payex Payment Gateway“.
6. Click “Add Payment Method“.
7. Enter your merchant Username and Secret from Payex Portal. (Login to Payex Portal > Settings > Copy Secret)
8. Done. You will now see Payex Payment Gateway displayed under “Current payment methods“

What to take note of: #

• If you want to use Test Mode first, you can tick the “Use sandbox environment” checkbox.
• If you want to use Live Mode, please do not tick the “Use sandbox environment” checkbox..
